Al Museo d’Arte di Chengdu apre l’edizione 2026 di Pulse of Life: Biennale
Chengdu, che riunisce oltre 250 artisti internazionali. Promossa dall’Ufficio
municipale della cultura, radio, televisione e turismo e organizzata dal polo
artistico cittadino, la manifestazione si afferma come piattaforma di dialogo tra
ricerca globale e contesto locale, offrendo uno sguardo sensibile e attuale sulla
vita quotidiana.
Curata da Wu Hongliang con la direzione artistica di Wang Shaoqiang, la
Biennale sviluppa il tema Pulse of Life come intreccio tra la vitalità dell’esistenza
e l’idea di “indice” intesa come strumento di lettura analitica del reale. Il
percorso espositivo, articolato in sei sezioni e affidato a un team internazionale
di curatori, si estende dagli spazi interni del museo a un’ampia area all’aperto.

At the Museum d’Arte di Chengdu, the 2026 edition of Pulse of Life:
Biennale Chengdu opens, bringing together more than 250 international
artists. Promoted by the Municipal Bureau of Culture, Radio, Television and
Tourism and organized by the city’s art institution, the event establishes itself as
a platform for dialogue between global research and the local context, offering
a sensitive and contemporary perspective on everyday life.
Curated by Wu Hongliang with artistic direction by Wang Shaoqiang, the
Biennale develops the theme Pulse of Life as an interplay between the vitality of
existence and the idea of the “index” understood as a tool for analytical
interpretation of reality. The exhibition path, structured into six sections and
entrusted to an international team of curators, extends from the museum’s indoor
galleries to a large outdoor exhibition area.
Among the featured artists of the 2026 Chengdu Biennale is Paolo Parisi. In
the section The Extraordinary in the Ordinary, curated by He Guyan, he
presents two works: The Weather Was Mild on the Day of My Departure (2018)
and To the Girls of Italy! (2021).
